About

I can spend hours talking about web development and technology, but when it comes to writing about myself I have trouble getting it out.  Here we go….

In the Beginning…
I have been developing websites since I was 14 years old (1997), and I haven’t turned back since.  After spending a few years with some exciting marquees, bouncing ball animated gifs and blinking text I started developing applications.  I did the development work for gotpix.com, that’s right I had developed a social site before social was cool….Social Hipster!

My other love, my first, is sports.  I played football at Midwestern State University and graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS).  If you need some sports insight or fantasy football advice, just ask!

I worked for TM Advertising, where I was given the opportunity to expand my PHP and Frontend skills.  I was able to learn a lot about developing on IIS, which at that time was not fun for any PHP developer. After TM I found my way to a start up, Get Legal, where I was the Sr. Web Developer and given my first opportunity to lead a team of developers.  After a the credit market to a dive, boo, I was “forced” to learn Actionscript 2/3 and Flex. ** I hope you’re following the trend….picking up a new skill or two at every position **  After my stint at Get Legal I found myself at Click Here, the interactive team of The Richards Group.  I got to work on many large name clients….name dropping to commence shortly.  I was able to expand the skillset and learn Ruby/RoR, which I still develop on the side/hobby.  FINALLY, I currently reside at RAPP where I’m an Interactive Software Engineer.
